We believe that during this critical time of COVID-19 virus pandemic, proactive communication is a key with parents. Al-Iman Academy is following the guidelines created by CDC/VDH. Please make a note of our COVID prevention guidelines below:
- School facility and furniture used by the staff and children will be sanitized at least weekly
- All staff members and children will wash hands with soap or use hand sanitizer as soon as they enter the school building, and also before leaving the facility for the day
- All staff members and children must wear mask while inside the facility
- All staff members and children will be seated 6 feet apart and must stay 6 feet apart as much as possible while inside the premises
- No parents will be allowed inside the building at any time
- Staff would be familiar with the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and be on the lookout for individuals who are exhibiting them.
- No one will be allowed to enter the school premises if
- the person has any signs and symptoms of COVID-19 infection, such as temperature of 100.4 F or higher or any signs of illness, OR
- the person has had a positive COVID-19 test within the past 10 days, OR
- the person has had contact with someone suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 (in the household or otherwise) in the past 14 days
- Parents or guardians will be notified if an individual with COVID-19 is identified in the facility.
- Ill persons must stay home for a minimum of 10 days and until the following criteria are met:
- They have had no fever for at least 1 day (that is 24 hours of no fever without the use of medicine that reduces fevers), AND
- Other symptoms have improved (for example, cough or shortness of breath), AND
- At least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared
- The school will maintain a daily log of staff and students coming to facility
